New HID's in the Avalanche

Y'all don't care I'm sure but my headlights were crap so I bought an HID kit from DDMtuning.com for $34 shipped. I got the 35w 6000k bulbs for the low beams only I think I need to adjust the drivers light but I'm happy

good upgrade. i just got HIDs in my truck too. i need new lenses but they already are awesome compared to my old ones

we drove around for a little bit and I think they are WAY WAY better even though it doesn't really look like it in these pics.

get 4300k hids, when I had mine, it was like a light plow and everyone got out of my way constantly.

PLEASE aim them properly. Sooooo tired of the douches around here with 12k HIDs aimed up in the sky like they're guiding planes in. I'm guilty of the drop in HIDs before too, just always made sure it wasnt aimed high. The retrofit HIDs are actually 100x better but just so pricey

yea I've seen people doing the same...

and I agree for the price.. these are fine... my wifes FX35 has real HIDs and they are better than these but these are still a ton better then my old ones

For sure, we had an FX35 too, loved the headlights, lol.

Heres what a decent retrofit looks like on a tahoe headlight, spreads the light out much further/clearer.
Just sucks its $800~

The cutoff, so its not just going everywhere out of the housing blinding people, lol.

A pair of projectors is $120. Then you just have to cut your housing open, screw them in place and call it good.

Depends on the housing, some are more work that others obviously(and making sure they're aimed properly before gluing the projector in place)
