We decided that afternoon we weren't gonna risk running the cars down the track last weekend which turned out to be a good thing, Phil Cook the owner of the Blue car walked away un hurt, But someone on Midwest street cars stepped up and offered a car to Phil to rebuild what was destroyed, very awesome thing for someone to do. But Texas won this round.

Correct. Nothing had been done to the surface in two weeks and temps were in the 30s and 40s. This was a No Prep Race, so absolutely nothing was done, not even blowing the dust off.
