I know you can't just back out, all at once, when the nose is that high. However if you have to make that big of steering correction, you might as well start backing out of the throttle.
well said, I thought maybe the spindle broke on the track shot, but clearly he was turning it in the air like he thought his front wheels were on the ground and he was going to correct in the air... maybe having the wheel straight when u slap the ground is a better reference point. ha

Dude had no clue what he was doing, probably one his first times in a race car.
You never ever never turn the wheel while in the air. If it's going strait and feels ok don't let off and if you have to don't let off all at once. After doing it enough you get used to looking out the side window and watching the guard rail to figure out if your still going pretty strait or not.
One of the cars I used to drive back in the late 90s early 2000s would hang the front tires a few feet in the air and go about 150/200 feet before setting them down. I miss that shit

Probably his first time doing that and it's instinct at first. It all happens fast, I'm sure most in this thread have never experienced.

            Sucks though!

As posted before, why turn the wheel while in a wheelie? That is just not smart. Like slow55 said, lack of driving a car that can do that.

I would buy that car still. Damn I want a Cobra Jet.
                Some cars and a bike...

you are right, most posting probably haven't had wheels up... When you did wheelies as a kid did you turn the handle bars 90 degrees and hold them there as you landed? Lmao that would have been fun.

You can steer with the wheel in the air, haven't you been to the science place? I .

A kid on a bike and a race car pulling the wheels is the same thing and happens just as fast.

Actually, probably faster on a bike....lol. Come down with the wheel pointed anything but straight, and you don't have to wait until you hit the wall. Just face to ground. Same theory, same result. One hurts the pocket book. The other just hurts you!

Obviously that's gonna happen either way. Wasn't talking about the end result I was just saying the first time that happens and you go wheels up in say 1.3 seconds to the 60' mark that happens quick and instincts might take over if you're not ready.

Sucks to see a cobra jet go down like that!
