              I wondered that as I watched the first clip and saw it coming down with the wheels aimed to the right. Would have lost it sooner if the tires caught the first time he came down and not after the bounce. Hell of a launch

                Maybe he thought that by increasing the wind resistance, he could bring the front end down quicker.

                    As someone who has never owned a car that would be capable of doing that sort of wheelie. And probably never will. I would say turning the wheel that far one way, would not be a wise move when you are between concrete walls. Then the second part of that for me would be. I know you can't just back out, all at once, when the nose is that high. However if you have to make that big of steering correction, you might as well start backing out of the throttle.
