Spec Racer Ford

I got an email yesterday evening saying I could come out to MSR this morning and rent a Spec Racer Ford for a 30 minute track session. Suffice to say, I was out there at 8:30 this morning. I never knew I could have so much fun with roughly 100 horsepower. Car weighs about 1,650lbs with driver, so it was like a big go-kart. I had a blast.

SRF's are fun but I would need a sawzall to even consider fitting into one. They also only run with the SCCA and I don't really like the rules set with that organization. My wife knows one of the big SRF builders in the area and he used to let her drive one every now and then. She said they are a blast because you never really use the brakes, they just stick!
