    After a pair of burnouts across the floor of the stadium venue surrounded by nothing more than a chain link fence, the driver, clearly not aware that you can't turn a 270-inch dragster on a dime and blip the throttle while you're doing it, turns the dragster over on its side.

                Or strapped in, Who was it back in the late 80s, who was going to do a quick 300 foot check out and ended up paralyzed from the waist down? He was one of the top drivers at the time but didnt buckle up because he was only going to hit it off the line?

                          Gwynn was injuried during exhibition runs in England. Lee Sheppard was killed testing his car. Rumor is he was doing just as you say. No belts.
