Glad to see a success story....and remember, you did not build that business.

In all seriousness, it's good to see more sensible shops succeeding. I support them every chance I get, but good ones are few.

NO! You need to buy this Offy 4brl intake for that 2.6 that I have.

Oh man, good to see you doing well, but if you really want to make good money, you need to join a union. Union jobs is where it's at...

At least some seem to think that way.... I'M NOT ONE OF THEM, FUCK UNIONS!!!!
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I got it running but it had rust issues in the front suspension that required some welding/patching beyond my tools and capabilities to fix properly at the time. I sold it to a guy in Springtown who races one and had a couple of others. His boys fixed it (they added the euro backup lights pictured) up even nicer and put in a 2800 V6 (so I heard) and then he sold it to a guy in Temple which I am guessing is where you bought it from. The guy in Temple was also selling a Chastain clone I heard. I have had over 12 Capris and this one was the nicest condition you can ever find. I kept my original 72 2600 and hope someday to paint it if I keep it. I have plenty of spare parts and I can tell you where to find a lot of things without dealing with Team Blitz.

Please post more pics. I am curious to see what else has been done to it.

I'd love to see more pictures of it.
Yup, got it from the guy in Temple. I picked it up for a friend of mine in Canada and its getting ready to be shipped. Because of their rust issues they just dont exist up there any more. It has a two port 2.6 in it now and a complete 2.8 in the passenger floor board. Only has a drivers seat but he has a complete interior and bumpers for it. Some rust has been fixed but it still has some. Runs great for such a tiny motor. Took it up the farm road to see what its all about and its a fun little car.

              Small freakin world. LOL

He is just gonna turn it into a little street toy. I gotta say, I dig the tiny 13" wheels!

I will pass this info on to its owner and see if he wants it. How much and you gonna come visit the shop to drop it off?

BTW, I know there are some older Suburban guys here. If anyone wants a killer running 89 that could use a fresh paint job I have this one with 111k on it (and records to support that mileage) for $1600 online or $1400 for anyone here. Just overhauled the brakes and changed over the AC system. Truck runs PERFECT.

                        The Capri is a Ford.

Burb has a 350 TBI in it and a 4 speed. 700r4 I think. 111k honest miles I believe. Found service paperwork from 04 and 06 and it was at 54k and 62k miles at that time.

Now the back of the small rear fold down seat is torn and the headliner is saging here and there but its not too bad otherwise.

I hate those filters but dont have the time to hit a JY and get a proper one. At least it comes with two spare filters. LOL

I am asking $325. It will need the gaskets and bolts. Its is a two piece manifold. Uses a small Holley 390 4 brl. I might could make a road trip for the hell of it.

Looks like some mods done since I had it. Believe it or not, when I bought it, it had Mustang phone dial rims with Cougar center caps. They looked huge and rubbed. The guy I sold it to Steve kept the front seats and the 2.0 (they were very very nice). Someone has added camber plates, a 73/74 radiator, an aircleaner I have never seen before and a few other things I see look different. The 2.6 V6 was Ford's first V6 and was only used in the 72 and 73 Capri. Its a great running little motor. Quick. Very little in common with the 2.8. They are very popular cars in other parts of the world. Several guys on the East and West coast have some. I am still on the caprilist on yahoogroups. I have been messing with Capri's since 88. A good friend of mine who lived in Maypearl had some and he and I and some others swapped around cars and parts.

Someone asked, these were German Fords. They were popular in the day but rust issues killed a lot of them off. They were known as "The Sexy European".
