    2wd weigh about 4400-4500 and would need 300 to the tires to hit mid 13's. High 13's without a stall or mid 13's with a 2800 Circle D or PI converter. The challenge is that huge E4OD trans some come with. It eats up 20% at least, so you need 360 to the flywheel. Not too challenging with the 351 but you have to keep in mind that only 96 came with Mass Air and a 351. I ran a few 8.7's with a stock HO mustang cam when I was NA. I also kept the stock converter, but ran 4.56's.

      This damn thread makes my pants get tighter... I would totally trade my coupe for a lighting or swb early f150!

        [QUOTE=DieselSmoke;853038]I really want one too.

        I cant find any pictures but mine looked like this, but with less lift and a grey bottom stripe. I miss that truck.

              Why is it I never liked these trucks back in the day, but think they look badass now? This thread rules.

                Nice truck!

                Here's my 95 which is somewhere around 284 now. I have even replaced the I-beam bushings on this thing. Has shorties and flows (true duals), flowed GT40s, and that's about it. Original motor was rebuilt at 270, only because the harmonic pulley cracked and sounded like a knock. Rock solid truck!

I'm not sure if it's clean black paint, the Vortech whine, or the Mondo BOV, but everytime I go somewhere I always have ot stop and talk to someone about it.
                  When I replaced my bushings at about 185, one of the bolts was literally eaten half into, right about the middle of it. Still have no clue how the hell that could have happened as I didn't observe any media when I pulled it out. Still scares hell out of me because this truck regularly saw 90 plus for extended periods. Lol, several board members can attest to that...

                    Very nice truck Mike. I've got a 92F150 XLT that's in pretty rough shape right now. She still drives but she needs a good amount of work. I can't decide if I want to do an engine swap and turn it into a street truck or swap frames and throw a small lift and bigger tires.

                        They are truly getting better looking with age. There are some really nice trucks in this thread, especially the slammed Lightnings, but I'm more of a 4x4 guy.

                        Ive been pushing my pops to park his a little more and drive something else. I've been maintaining this one since '95.

                          I feel ya. Only in the past couple of months have I really appreciated them.
