Videos of the 2012 GT noises (metal to metal, gears, exhaust)

I'd ask that you all please watch them and listen closely. It should be too hard to hear the noises, should take maybe 5 mins. I have a thread in the garage if you need background info. This was after a $400 gear job, and $200 exhaust bolt in job. Some of the minute thuds are from the panhard rod which is dual adjustable.

In the vids, I am steering the car back and forth to show the noise goes from side to side; how it changes.

Thats is the exhaust pipe hitting the under side. Do you not here the metal on metal grinding sound?

Sounds like a lot of gear noise and possibly a bearing...

I'm not waiting. It's going in tomorrow. I feel though a need for advice from anyone who has any input on it. My schedule is also rediculously busy and I am not 21, so Ford will not give me a rental. I've been in a bind for the past few weeks. Today I have to go to my recruiter for a few hours, and I'm taking delivery of an IS-F ronight and will have it for 3 days. Just been real busy

That sounds more like a control arm binding up, but it is really difficult to tell what all I'm hearing.

At one point it sounds like gear whine, then another it sounds like a bearing howling.

Those clunks should not be from the exhaust unless it has not been bolted down properly. Your stock exhaust didn't hit anything and the aftermarket exhaust would bolt into the exact same holes.

Did the same shop do the exhaust as your gears?

I installed the exhaust. The only issue was that the pipe was *slightly* hitting the axle tube where it meets the pumpkin. The shop I brought it to notched out part of the axle tube and adjusted the flanges.

Yeah, right where it meets at the pumpkin, right in the corner on the pumpkin. Not even kidding. Ive considered going back for repairs, but I am seriously afraid my car will get fucked sideways, frontwards and up the rear.

Edit: i guess the rear already got fucked.

Yeah, be prepared to buy an entire rear end for your car.

You might as well order one with the 3.73's already in it. Or find one in a junk yard with factory 3.73's.
