I learned a long time ago, once you start modding the suspension, you are always going to have squeaks and noises, just the way it is.

Snatch posted you saying someone else notched the axle (muffler shop), which is it? Did GHs do it? If the muffler shop did it, then your fight is with them not GH.
I know that when ANY shop does an axle change, its always good to do a bearing kit, some guys are cheap or think their car is to new to need this and some shops will not warranty their gear install if you choose not to do this.

What kind of control arms are on the car, BTW? There's no back seat or anything in the car, the camera's mic was placed close to where the upper control arm bolts through the floorpan.
Excuse my language. Bmr lowers with UPR upper. I do believe there are 5 other videos where the cam is well inside the cabin.

Mine's noticeable enough that I'll eventually put them back in. I can't tell how loud yours is. The metal on metal I have seems to amplify a bit of the noise.
      No lowering springs.

Yeah, I guess when everything is more solidified, especially with poly bushings, more noise is to be expected, generally speaking.

They did not change out the axles, rather rear end. I will gladly pay for anything that needs to be done, especially something as miniscule yet important as bearings.

Snatch asked who did my exhaust. I stated that I installed the cat back and had GH attempt to adjust it to compensate for my inability to set it up without hitting.

Thats what I meant to say, the gears, but the entire assembly has to be taken out, most guys will remove the axles out as to not have them just resting/hanging on the outer bearings and fucking up the seals.
If they didn't charge you to re-adjust the mufflers than its a moot point and not their responsibility.
Its not their fault you dont live close by, you should have taken it somehwere closer to you. Though since you did take it to them, what are they supposed to do if your "too far" to be going up there to get it fixed?

FYI we changed pinion bearing inner and outer with races. Very few times can you press the pinion bearing off the original gears without distorting the bearing cage. The notching seen there in the pictures is not typical of what we do I ask my guys and nobody recalls doing that. With that being said it def. would not cause any issues and saves you from putting a dent in the exhaust. Like I tell everyone when modding the diff. or rearends in these cars especially the 05up cars the noise seems to be greater than in the older 4 link style 04 down rearends. We are here to help in anyway and can't always help lack of cumminication, or scheduling issues. Let us know if you want us to check it out again. Travis

Are they rod-ended UCA/LCAs? I had a solid rod-ended UCA and poly lowers on both my '06 and '11. That UCA popped constantly.

My '11, BERNIE MOSFET's '11 and several others I have seen and heard all had contact with exhaust/chassis when going to the aftermarket exhaust. I was using Magnaflow with 3" tubing, mine always bumped even after several adjustments.

He's gonna hear a lot of weird noise without a back seat and sound deadener, that's for sure. And if he's gone with some aggressive control arms it'll transmit through the cabin.

Truth, you want a nice daily driver or you want a modded racecar.

Solid lca's. The top one probably is what that popping is, considering your input and other useful info from the thread. 3" doesnt seem to fit too well. Input appreciated sir.

What control arms did he go with. I had Drake upper and lower controls plus a panhard bar and they were loud as shit cause they didn't have bushings in them. Changed those out quick and now it's nice a quiet.

Understood. Still does not explain the random beginning of this metal to metal contact noise.

none of which started till you decided to re-engineer a pretty decent piece off the showroom floor.........it's not ford's job, nor any independent shop's job to be able to out engineer what the car was developed to do.

Here's the deal... you can take it to the dealership, and if you raise enough hell their NVH tech will attach mics to the chassis and drive it around to pinpoint the noise location. The catch-all is that if they determine that your modifications are the source, you're out the diag and the cost for the tech's time doing it. It won't be warrantied. If you can't find where the noise is coming from, this might be the best bet regardless.

That's no shit. I have the back seat out of my car and I have solid upper and lower CL's with solid bushings and you can hear any little noise there is to be heard. I think I'm a pretty good gear installer and I set my gears up to the best I know how and you can hear just a very little gear whine in them. I say put the back seat back in if you don't want to hear any noise.
