I'm getting preparred. Then thinking about tossing the old through through their god damn window. Yeah, GH did that too. The ONLY decent work ive had done is at ts.

You might not want to even take it to the dealership at this point.
I should be abe to get somelater tonight or tomorrow. Im going to go ahead and readjust these controls arms. GH set the pinion supposedly to -1, but the is getting even worse traction. May have to have ts Check that out too. The car was at the dealer last week to have a brake kit installed, i bet they were like WTF?!?

I didn't listen to them all and I'm at my office just using laptop speakers, but a little bit into the first vid the metal/metal sound could just be a backing plate rubbing on the rotor.

          wow

FWIW, the next time you are bolting up a new exhaust on a vehicle and the exhaust tube that goes over the rear end needs some clearance, take your time with a ball peen hammer and massage the exhaust pipe yourself.

I would have to see a picture of a 'notched axle tube' before I'll believe it. You can do 1,000 different things to a piece of exhaust pipe that are easier than notching away the rear axle.

I didn't see the vids, don't have time to go through 50 of them, but I would definitely take a look to see if a backing plate is bent and touching a rotor.

First off I'm not one to come on hear and defend myself or my business but in this case, it seems a necessary. When you came in a couple of weeks ago and I personally drove the car around with you I verified the noise you were hearing (the metal to metal type sound) I told you at that time it sounded like a backing plate touching and you agreed, also the fuel pump boot was half-way dropped through the floor pan causing a whistling type sound that we alleviated pretty quick. You also said you were going to install an upper control arm on and bring it back to setup the pinion angle, which you did. At that time I don't remember anything else being said about the noise. I also had told you the first time after I drove the car with you if the problem persisted and you couldn't figure out what is was we would glady look at it. Plain and simple!!!! As far as the "notching" you are referring to I don't really know what exactly you are talking about. It is not general practice to ever cut or notch on the rearend housing. We would never do anything that could cause a potential problem mechanically or structurally. Wouldn't you think it would be easier to come by the shop or call instead of posting on a message board. If you tried calling and didn't get anyone call back we are constantly bombarded with 200+ phone calls a day. Matt is the only one answering the phone, I am on the dyno all day. Again not tryng to justify or defend we are not perfect and never claim to be, It just kills me how people can come on here and try to bash someones place of business when they really haven't tried or let the shop and or person rectify the situation. Anyone who knows me and my business knows that we stand behind all of our work. The other thing that people don't realize is that when they come on here and jump on the "band wagon" alot of times you are only getting one side of the story. I find it amusing that people are quick to come on here when something goes wrong but very little when something goes right. All im saying is that all the shops in area try really hard to accomodate and please their customers ( or so I would like to think) I just wish people would think a little bit before they come on here and try bashing someones place of business. Especially if you have never had any dealings with that shop!!!!!. I have hundreds of customers on here and several that I have dealt with for 10++ years that know what I'm about and know that I will always go above and beyond to help anyone if I can. Thanks, Travis

BTW I will still gladly look at the car and see what we can figure out. Just call Matt and let him know when you want to bring it in. Thanks, Travis

My schedule is also rediculously busy and I am not 21, so Ford will not give me a rental. I've been in a bind for the past few weeks. Today I have to go to my recruiter for a few hours, and I'm taking delivery of an IS-F ronight and will have it for 3 days. Just been real busy
Ford had no problem giving me a rental at 19... Took my 2010 mustang I had a few times in for brake noise and a noise in the transmission and they had no problem giving me a rental since it was under warranty. They used enterprise and all I had to do was show full coverage insurance and have the dealership tell enterprise ford was paying for the rental.

Took my truck in at 20 and had no problems getting a rental either.
My rentals weren't just for a day or two either.

What brand of gears did you get? I have 4.30's which are made from Motive, but sold as FRP(box said FRP on it). FRP didn't have 4.30's, which is why I went with Motive. Mine have a whine to them. Both HPP and TS says that is normal for the Motive gears(4.30's). I didn't read both threads completely, so not sure if the whine started from the get go, or started later on. Mine started from the get go, but I was told that they will before hand.

as a business shouldnt you take care of all customers and not try to play the victim and bring up how you have all these happy customers? i bet that you do have tons of happy customers but its the ones that have a legitimate issue and how that is handled that defines a shop. i dont ever chime in on this stuff and i wont unless you insist. not to mention, once there is an issue and the shop has been paid, it seems more difficult to get to talk to you

This was a thought, but was ruled out. I went to the Grapevine Ford to get the metal/metal sound diagnosed. Of course, I made them aware of my modifications to the differential. They thought for sure that it was the brakes. Under TSB 12-01-01A, the took apart the brakes and installed (1) PN 5U2Z*2321*H BRAKE PAD ATTACHMENT, which is "replacing rear lining rattle clips and slide pin boots". Evidentally the brakes are up to par. I thought that it may be the calipers or rotors/pads I have on the car. When I put the Brembo brakes on the front, I also out the complete GT500 rear brakes. I did this because 1.) the rotors had only 4k them 2.) the GT500 rear pads are a better compound than the GT and 3.) the black calipers matched the black brembos, so it just made sense.

well if you didnt take a listen, then why shoot arrows in the dark? Brakes are 100% and have been checked by Ford, no issues. (knock on wood)

And honestly, I don't need to go take pics to please anyone on here, that is not why the thread was started. If you feel the need to, come look for yourself.

I do believe they are FRPP gears.

It would make sense, at least to me, for them to come on and defend their shop. I would do it in the case of my business if I felt it were legitimate. Based on the reply, they do need additional personel answering phones or something.

Travis- I can only make so many 1.5 hour trips to get the same thing worked out. Many of times do I call and have issues getting in contact. It is a little beyond what most would consider acceptable. I wonder if others have this issue, or maybe I'm just blowing thick black smoke out my ass. I'm very respectful and reasonable, and did not just start a shop bashing thread. I run a business and would under NO circumstance undermine a business for personal gain or out of spite. The point of this is to help me fix my car, that's all I want. I honestly am leery of coming back, and would be willing to drive to McKinney and pay for an inspection, new gears, new bearings, whatever I need to do so long as I know it is in good hands. Someting I have learned along the way is that business has to be earned, and customer service is key. If I drop the ball on a customer, I'm damn well going to apologize and make it right.
