You tried though didn't you. I hate walking and pushing a bike.
    Whos your Daddy?

Lmao! I'm still considered a "big" for a road bike. But after a year of riding my road bike in MTB shorts then finally basketball shorts, I finally decided to just wear my cycling shorts....period. It literally was the best decision I ever made. For many reasons.

I wouldn't want to race on them if they were. Speeds of 25-30, hard turns, rough pavement, cracks, and other obstacles in the road would destroy a wheel if they were that brittle. No different then people that refuse to buy a carbon fiber bike because they think they are too weak and can break.
Go ride northshore on your cyclocross bike for a while with your road wheels on it, then get back to me.

I have a few times. It is good practice, choose your line wisely. The worst part is the inability to brake. Some of the decents are scarey when you have the brake levers mashed all the way and you don't stop. I am not saying they are stronger then mountain wheels I am just saying they are not as frail as everyone thinks they are.

Sure, I'll buy that. Your first post seemed to insinuate that they were comparably strong to decent mountain bike wheels.
