                It's kinda confusing. The retractable hardtops were all Skyliners. But the Skyliner was an option that was only available on the top-of-the-line Ford for that year, which would be the Fairlane 500 (1957 and 1958) and the Galaxie (1959).

                                You were right to call the '55-56 the Crown Victoria Skyliner. That was the model with the tinted green plexiglass roof section over the front half of the roof. The Mercury version was the Montclair Sun Valley.
