the system is very fast acting, and has a yall sensor and which prevents lateral accelleration.
It basically does everthing for you when needed, activates the brakes and throttle to get the car to recover.....that car is so advanced, it can activate the brakes independently for each wheel, and reduce/apply engine torque at the same time.
BMW has a Performance Center in Greer, S.C. across from plant that builds the Z4 and X5. They have a slick track they will water down and actually let you go up to 60mph around it, but they also WILL NOT let you de=activate the DSC system......I never saw a car go into the grass as long as the systems was active.Vortex rear stand $75

Activating the M Dynamic Mode and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) gives your sports ambitions free rein. Drive slip for both longitudinal and transverse dynamics increases at all speed levels because DSC does not instantly intervene in the automobile's motion. This does not impact on safety, however: it is just a means to increase driving pleasuresigpic

All new cars for America have to have a stability system in them. Think thats been the case for a year or so now. From the cheapest POS to the fastest thing out there, teh gobment wants to make sure we dont wreck cause we dont know how to drive.Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
