Guy on LS1Tech doesn't understand why his dyno numbers are not higher!

This guy prides himself on being a huge hack, def. worth the read just to see how many short cuts he will take. Put's heads on with a impact wrench, uses kids footballs instead of drag suspension, doesn't use blowoff valves because he likes the sound of compressor surge, etc.

But his latest issue is that his dyno numbers are down, umm, say 200hp but doesn't think his merge has much to do with it.

The passenger side cross over pipe is pointing against the flow from the drivers side.

Lol, that's my friend Matt. He has built more turbo cars than almost anyone on here. All of the shit he does is for fun, they are serious backyard mechanics. He does use the correct tools and parts when he wants to, runs his own dyno, has a home garage with lift (Ryan's) and is the one who built the remote turbo 10 rcsb that I am copying (and it ran 10's in a heavy nnbs truck, made almost 700whp on a stock 4.8).

His thing is "extreme budget builds". He supposedly did the whole build including car for right under $4k. His daily is a maggied g8 gt that was "done right".

Sorry brother, he is a hack. Nobody who "knows what he is doing" would build a merge that points one bank into the flow of the other.

Even Matt agree's, but after having 8 turbo cars and building a few myself, I can tell you that that merge is not costing him 200hp. It is ugly as fuck though. Who cares though? What is the best mph you've done in 1/4?

And BTW, the merge looks more like a 90 degree intersection of flow (still not good, but not as bad as you are claiming it to be).
