  • Who's brave enough for this job?

I couldn't imagine even attempting this shit. No parachute, no safety harness, all the way up, all the way down, and with a tool box trying to pull you down the entire way. There is no money that would make me attempt this climb even once.

What makes you think that he's not wearing a harness? A 200' climb isn't that bad and he's wearing a harness.

The fact that they said that he isn't. He pulls the lanyard out and clamps it to the ladder when he wants to rest, but other than that he is not clipped in. They actually said that "free climbing" is OSHA approved.

And on another note, harness or no harness you wouldn't catch my ass up there.

I'd do it, looks like fun. You only have to free climb the actual antenna with out a normal ladder. Would have 0 clue what to do when I got up there though.

Also I never understood why they can't take a chute with them in case a storm blows in or something.

I like how He lets go with both hand to attach the clip at the top. We need a blood pressure and pulse reading. Hahaha.

I bet they don't take a chute because everyone would turn into base jumpers to take the quick way down. It's like getting paid for your hobby.

No shit. There is no way I could make myself do that. I MIGHT be able to force myself up under the right circumstances, but I know I couldn't get down.
