  • 91coupemike vs 2003 Cobra

    Found a bone stock 2003 cobra, with a cold air intake.

    He wouldnt do a 20 roll, which i prefer, only a 30 roll.

    Either way i knew i was bound to lose, to question was how bad?

      I am shocked at how slow that thing is by cobra standards.

      But, for comparasion. He was door to door with a 2011 5.0, which should be right for a stock 03. I was door to door with the 11' too, till about 90 then he pulled me by a car just like this race.

      I'm running 3:73s.

            I also ran another coupe, first time ever racing another coupe!

            He has 3.73, gt40 intake, 1.7 rockers, b303 + bolt ons.. Underdriven headers ect..

            I beat him by 3+ cars. Haha

            He was certain he would pull me! It was pretty funny..

            Him:
            "when I pull you by a car I'll let out"

            Me:
            "when I pull you by 2 I'll slow down"

              that's the terrific thing about racing a stick shift car. the driver is the greatest variable to the race.

              same car different driver could produce dramatically different results.

              that being said, in the end all that truly matters is who wins.

                This is true.

                Although from a ~360rwhp I would expect more, I don't think my car hangs with 03/04 cobras by any means. Given a good example I'd have my ass handed to me.

                But to overcome 130hp deficit until 90-100mph is something to talk about. Lol

                Ive been beat by slower cars, that's no doubt.

                I need to add some power to my car so I can actually have something worthwhile.

                Its fun, that's no doubt.

                  since you're making 231 to the tire, i assume you have the stock heads on your car?

                        Yes, stock heads, cam, intake and throttle body.

                        Just a good running wendsday built car.
