That clown sounded like every Republic of Texas member or similar thinking person I've dealt with in legal matters. In the event any of y'all subscribe to that way of thinking, I have a few words of wisdom to share:
1. If you're going to try to use legal terms, make sure you know what they mean and how to use them properly. When asked for his driver's license, that guy said "I don't wish to create joinder with you." Joinder is when 2 or more lawsuits are merged/combined for the purposes of judicial efficiency and/or provided for in the rules of civil procedure. His use of that word made him sound like more of a freaking idiot than he is;
2. Regardless of how much you try to argue that the laws don't apply to you because you're not a US citizen, you're never going to win. About 7-8 years ago I had a trial where the pro-se Defendant was a Republic of Texas kind of guy. I swear he said that a million times during the trial. It got so ridiculous that the judge told him to quite or else he was going to be held in contempt. Needless to say, my client won and the judge found every way possible to give my client everything they were legally entitled to receive;
3. Be respectful, not confrontational, to every single person in the courthouse. It doesn't matter if they are a clerk or a Supreme Court Justice, be nice. I suspect the reason there were so many guards around that courtroom was because either this guy had a history of acting like that there or because he was talking to and treating others like that before turning the camera on. Having spent a ton of time in courthouses all over the State of Texas, I've learned that if you're a prick, the word gets out very fast and nobody will help you in any way;
4. Security officers and law enforcement at any courthouse, especially federal courthouses, do not play. Hell...many of them don't even have a sense of humor. They are there to protect the judge and others and your attempt to be confrontational or humorous at their expense will not end well for you; and
5. If you can't abide by 1-4 above, you need to know how much tazers hurt.
