          That's what I was thinking. As cool as it is, the average consumer isn't going to pay $50 let alone $70 for one bulb.

                    I'd be VERY interested if they made a non-WIFI version, i.e. ditching the majority of the cost associated with the thing. The best part of that video was simply the 10% energy usage part, it would be simple to have a toggle switch on the casing that allowed for a variety of brightness levels to simulate 40w/60w/etc brightness and even a dial or wheel to give a multiple color range spectrum. Those things could sell for $15-20 without the WIFi part and still be very similar.

                      It says up to 25 years. I got a dollar that says that don't last anywhere near that. Wouldn't be a sustainable business if one bulb lasted 25 years with such a limited number of people who would actually buy. Something tells me they will set like hot cakes in states like cali though

                      Still @ 20 a bulb that would be fucking outrageous to replace all the bulbs in my or your house with them
