I'd roll that bitch daily with a few small changes.

I recondition headlights on most cars for $50.00. If interested shoot me a pm.

the mailbox is pushing it, but no way in hell I'd lose the sliding door... that's what makes it a postal jeep

pretty cool. Amazing what you can do with a grinder and a torch.

Wonder if he had to customize a frame or found one to drop the body onto.

Big Block though....needs a Big Block.

            4BT Cummins.

I'm thinking about buying a box van just to get the 4BT and chevy bell adapter from it.

The sad thing is somebody ACTUALLY spent the time and money to make it look like that.

Naw, I've been eyeballing the 4BT for my junk since it is a bit lighter, shorter and just a bit different. Plus, I really don't need THAT much torque since I'm running a light axle setup (Dana 30/Dana44)

I really want a 4BT/SM465/Dana 20 tcase setup. Current plans are to run the SBC/TH350/Dana 20 I have though as soon as I get gears installed in my spare Dana 44. shouldn't add too much weight to my Jeep that currently weighs 2350 lbs including the Chevy V8.

if you're just building a little Jeep, then yeah, the 4B is viable, but man, it's so heavy! LOL

I was thinking more along the lines of a hot rod

Yeah, 800 lbs of iron is a bunch, but I figure there are plenty of BBC's in Jeeps, plus if you factor in shit that many have like huge winches up front plus massive full cages, they get heavy quick, seen many CJ5's that go close to 5K. A small block Chevy is what, 500, 550 pounds?

Assload of torque @ 1000 with the ability to idle over any trail or up the boatramp dragging the boat would be awesome, as would 30 mpg running around town. But yeah, that is all for a 4X4 Jeep, not really fitting for a hot rod.

When/if I ever build a rat-type rod, I want to do a 144/170/200 Ford Six with a turbocharger and an old-ass three speed tranny. I'm just stupid like that.

Question for all you knowledgeable car-nuts, which year Jeeps came with Powerglide transmissions from the factory? No Google cheating.

I kinda dig it. If it were mine I'd tub the jeep body, and tuck the rear wheels right under those big windows & lose the bed section all together.
