    Slammed into a semi-automatic truck?

Sounds like an "assault weapon!" Look out, Rosie O'Donnell will be looking to ban Semi's now!

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I have a friend that has narcolepsy and it's not really like it is portrayed in movies. He doesn't just fall asleep standing up or driving down the street.

People with narcolepsy have restless sleep throughout the night. He may sleep for 30 minutes then be wide awake for several hours. As a result of that, he's tired throughout the day. I have NEVER seen him fall asleep out of the middle of nowhere like they try to portray it on movies like Duece Bigalow, etc.

Something else was up with this lady.

I had a friend in highschool with narcolepsy, whenever his mind would wander he would fall asleep. Right in the middle of class, sometimes at stop lights. Not exactly like the movies, but it was something he had trouble controlling. I'm sure with any affliction it varies greatly between individuals. I also find it hard to imagine someone falling asleep while riding a motorcycle/scooter, but then again when you're super tired anything can happen.

It absolutely can happen like it is portrayed in movies. For example, watch the episode of Taboo that shows the narcoleptic. It was BAD!
