That's bad ass! Also I saw a blurb that the new Hybrid Jetta went 185 on the flats... That just seems odd. Wonder all what it had done to it? Heh

A turbocharged Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid has just set the record for ‘Hybrid Speed Record’ at the Bonneville Salt Flats after it went 185.394-mph.It’s the fastest speed ever achieved by a production-based hybrid out on the Salt Flats. The Jetta Hybrid was modified according to Southern California Timing Association (SCTA) rules, helping the 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI four-cylinder engine hit 150-hp while mated to an electric motor that generates 27-hp.The high-speed pass was done on a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.

I just watched the video on it, and they said it was making around 300hp. All they did was put a bigger turbo on it and supporting mods. Cool thing is that the battery pack is sorta like nitrous. lol.
