For some reason doing the suicide door car sounded a lot more exciting. It's spent almost a year at the chassis shop becoming a full frame car instead of a unibody.

The car got a full 3x5 frame rail front to rear.

The front portion of the frame rail was fab'd up on the rack with Art Morrison crossmember, upper and lower arms, 15" Wilwoods, ridetech shockwaves, AM sway bar, and of course rack and pinion...no more steering box crap...

    1994 Supra TT - 6 speed
    2013 Viper Coupe - Just a Dodge
2009 Rubicon - Lifted, geared, bumpered
    1991 Syclone - 25K miles
    1970 Roadrunner - Thanks Gary
    2013 GT500, 2016 Hellcat, 1972 C10
    1999 Baja - Water Toy

The rear portion of the new front-rear frame rail was tied together with a lateral cross member and 1/2 loop. A full loop wouldn't work as the ride height for the car is going to be no more than 5".

This is the cross member installed with the lower control arm mounts in place:

This is the 1/2 loop portion that the back seat will conceal:

Then the upper control arm cross member and inner frame rail reinforcements were welded in:

You can see the factory upper shock mount was modified to fit the rear shockwave in that pic too.

The factory 9" was backboned and reinforced. The new control arm mounts were fab'd up. After this pic was taken the old style strange 9" axle ends were welded up.

The new 9" aluminum center section, 3.50 gears (going on power tour remember)...

The rear wheels, 20" x 11" rear forgelines. Titanium smoke centers with polished lips, black powder coated rear hoop.

Being used for rear end mock up and flange to flange measurements. This will be approximate ride height too:

I just can't believe these were unibody cars and not full frame.

                      Looks badass BTW

I'll be doing good to make it over speed bumps. Lol

There's a lot of outer rocker meat and reinforcement. I'll show a pic in a bit of how he tied the front frame rails to some of that structure as well. He really went overboard making this thing stout. But because of the drivetrain it will need it 😎
