Now it all makes sense. Should be a pretty cool truck.

        EcoBoostF100

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap & 1966 427 Project I had a couple requests in another post to show my EcoBoost project so thought I would start another thread. I love the 65-66 Ford body style and have since my Dad pulled into the drive way back in October 1965 with a brand new Red/Red 1966...

Rather strange self-fulfilling first post, but ok we'll play. Just get off your ass finally.

Looks like a solid build - let us know when that drive vid is out, and keep it going! Nice work!

Cool but too much work. My new neighbor down the street has a sweet Lil 1st gen Camaro all original straight body. With some big ass ghetto Wheels I'm going to try buy it and save it.

Thanks to those who have subscribed! This was not an easy task & until now I was not sure if I could pull this off. Many said it could not be done. More vid...

I have gone the 460 route too many times. Wanted something different.

I already have a 600hp big block 1966 F100. Did not want another.

2 other 1966 F100 Big block trucks too.

For the price of a decent 460 I can make as much power with this engine, get double the fuel economy and have a much better driving experience.

The last 460 I built was a daily driver 700 hp. I just realized its over 20yrs ago now . .

makes perfect sense. I had an F100 with a 347 stroker I daily drove for a couple years. 9mpg gets old.

Fair enough. I admire the work put into it if anything else. As long as you have at least one BBF already

I no longer have the 700 hp daily driver 460 but here is one of 3 other 1966 Trucks.

Pretty much the reason I don't need another gas guzzling big block! LOL

I imagine if I get 8-9 mpg with the 482 inch dual quad truck I need something to make up for it . . (based on a 427 Side Oiler)

I am nearing 60 yrs old so I think my rowdy, noisy gas guzzler days are coming to a close. The orange white 482 truck will be the one for that when I get the Urge. I just do not want to drive it on a long trip.
