Twenty two years ago today I had my '85 Camaro packed to the hilt moving from CO to TX, had just found Q102 in the early hours of the morning just in time for Red Beard to announce SRV's crash and unconfirmed death.

Best version of this song IMO. Reese Wynans just simply smashes it.

Such a huge loss...can only imagine where he'd be today.

I remember I was on my way to a class at Brookhaven College when I first heard the news.

no. Jimi was first. And just like the old King Fu masters.....the student passes the teacher.

I would agree but comparing the two is silly. The both transcended time IMO.

SRV re-introduced the blues in a time period (earlier 80's)that was seriously lacking from quality music and really brought the genre some notoriety.

I bet BB and TTB will have a nice tribute for him tomorrow at Verizon

Outstanding and my favorite song of his. I already have it my will to play at my funeral. It always puts me in a better place.

                  Thanks for sharing

There is no "better"and "best" in guitarists. There is only who appeals and connects with you more. Each one accomplished something no one else had and had an unbelievable talent. Rip to a true legend.
