I figured the Mustang would've pulled the ZR1 a lot more than that.

Mustang did pretty good considering it has more weight and CD, less motor, less boost. It suprised the shit out the ZL1 owner. Apparently, he is used to eating up mustangs.

5.0 has 67mm turbo on 7psi. 550rwhp 525tq
ZR1 is bone stock with 10.5 psi

mustang got the jump, 40 roll to 135

Okay, so similar rwhp, ZR1 is a few hundred lbs lighter and maybe slighter better aero (which wouldn't matter much up to 135mph). So, the 5.0 turbo engine apparently has a little better power band and gearing, but with the Stang getting the jump, the results are reasonable. Both seem to be good drivers.

In short, nothing surprising here. Nice running 5.0 turbo.
