  • Wounded Warriors and G.W. Bush mountain biking

Pretty cool to see an ex-President honor wounded troops like this whether you liked G.W. Bush or not. Not a chance in hell you would ever see Obama do something like this.

He randomly showed up at river legacy trail in Arlington a few weeks ago. Would have been awesome to be out riding or running when he randomly shows up.

That man is a class act. I really hope that one day I can meet him in person.

He certainly shows appreciation to the men that served our forces. You have to respect him for that.

Obama likes to be known as the "sit down and have a beer with me" President (disgrace), but I'd much rather sit down and have a beer with Dubya.

Bush doesn't drink anymore but I agree with the sentiment.

No shit? I ride my bike over there frequently... that would have been awesome.

My uncle was riding out on some trails in Cedar Hill when Bush came out for a ride a year or two ago. He said he and President Bush carried on a 45 minute conversation and never felt like he was trying to break contact to leave.

I think the guy is a class act and his dedication to the Wounded Warriors and other charitable endeavors back that up. We follow his FB pages and get to see all the stuff he is doing here and all the way to Africa.

I've read several stories on mountain bike forums of people getting to ride with him on trails in DFW, because they happen to be at the right place and the right time. Apparently your ass had better be in shape if you are going to keep up with Bush.

On a side note, that water hole trail they show the sign to at the beginning of the video is a pretty bad ass trail to ride at Big Bend Ranch State Park.
