I know this is crass but would you sell it? My familiy member did a lot of announcing there and would love it. When most of it was gone I went out there and chipped up several pieces of the track. My family has lived around it for over a hundred years, my grandmother was born in a cabin on what is commonly known as Knob hill. I would even settle for a picture. Man, I sometimes wish I wasnt so young, and could have been there for some of this.
I spent a year working as a consultant for the company that bought the malibu gran prix and turned it into Speedzone (then sold the company), and got to collect much of the memorabilia and race suits, helmats and such that was on display in the Speedzones. I was able to make good friends with some of the drivers and crew, and see some of the ins and outs of the top fuel and pro stock races.
I was in Kristen Powels race trailer watching the super high speed vid with the clutch guy watching the tires fold over on themselves. I've had plenty of rubber dust all over, and had my share of burning eyes, and even gotten tipsy a few times when they did the first fireup in the pits.
