People use valet spots to park all the time. If the cop was writing the ticket, he was detained and not free to leave. He had NO reason to pull forward at all.

If you re-read the quote it said that the hotel valet had the keys to the car. that would imply one of two things. The owner just pulled up and was dropping the car off for the valet.... or that the car had been retrieved by the valet for the owner to leave in.

The guy was retarded for trying to drive away from a parking ticket(especially if he can afford a Ferrari), but so was the cop for specifically moving his foot into the path of the car.

Of course, I may be wrong and will suspend complete judgement until after I hear the tire's side of the story.
