Don't go too wild on it unless you have an inspection hookup. I was down getting my wife's daily a new sticker on sat an they had a 8.5 x 11 posted with new rules for tinted lenses. Just letting ya know.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't plan on going really dark, just enough to make them not look so blingy, especially those side markers.

Get on their website - they have a gloss coat.

I actually did this exact job to my 07 VW GLI's front fascia and rear VW emblem. My ONLY con about it is if you do get it on thick, and u peal the tape off from masking, it will pull the corner with it. My recommendation is to lay a few layers (3-4 light ones) then remask. This still is tough as nails though.

Oh, and my lid to my 82 coupe's air cleaner is plastidipped. Still tearless!

If you go over heavy it tends to come out more "rough" or coarse looking. Which doesnt look bad at all, just more flat. If you lay on several light layers, it comes out thinner and more of a sheen. No shine, just less flat.

I see. I prefer a little more coarse and less of a sheen, anyway so I guess it worked out

                  Looks good!
This stuff is pretty much spray on vinyl, did it on my Harley grill and so far so good. Went through a car wash and it held up.
He uses a home spray gun kit which is siphon fed. If you watch while he's spraying the hood he gets massive zebra striping. Which forces you to use more than needed. This is because he's unable to hold the gun square to the panel.
I think a cheap full sized gravity fed gun from HF would fix this.
Not that you're going to be spraying the whole car or anything.

I need some close ups to the lug holes.

Will get at lunch today. All I have for a camera is a shitty Droid RAZR MAXX though. Some of the lugs look okay, some don't, as after I cut around the bottom edge of the lug hole, I didn't pull the excess out which means it's wadded up in there.

So it's best to just tape then off so the paint doesn't go into the holes?

If you have the patience to, then by all means. The lug holes on these wheels are really recessed so it was just easier for me to get after it with an x-acto knife rather than try to crap tape down there and pull it back out after it was dry.

Or just put a quarter to cover up the hole. Like in that one video.
