It's at my dad's shop in Sherman for now. Soon as I get the wiring harness done, and a few other things I want to take care of, I'll be taking it back to John's to finish wiring the engine harness and plumbing and wiring the air ride.

    • Got a little work done yesterday and figured I'd post a few pictures.

I got the dash pulled out and completely disassembled. While it was out, I got the speedo out of it, disassembled the odometer and reset it back to zero since it will be virtually a new car, and got the entire wiring harness pulled out. I took the pictures of the dash before I pulled the harness and cleaned everything up, so that's why the harness is still in the car in these pictures. I'm going to put new Stewart Warner oil pressure, water temp, and fuel level gauges in the three holes where the original clock, water temp, and fuel level went.

Nah, just wanted to fill the huge openings where the factory heater box came through the firewall. Also, where the original fuse box bolted to the firewall and had the two big plugs that went through the firewall, so I decided since it was already up in the air and I still have to put the new wiring harness in, I'd go ahead and weld all the holes up and smooth the firewall. I'll post pictures when I get it done tomorrow.

                    • You should really paint that needle gold while it's out. Man that would be trick, and a nod to attention to microscopic detail.

                            • If I had this fucking '57 Chevy back from the upholstery guy and could get it sold I'd buy that '61, get it running/driving and sell it.
