Man, you guys keep me so stoked about these cars. I have a never ending supply of inspiration from y'all's work. Amazing job, John and Crash. Excellent job on the flake scallops as well......that's dificult to not have chewed up gnarly edges on the scallops from the flake. Very impressive.

Is he going to have you outline the scallops with stripe?

Thanks guys !! Levi, I already started outlining the scallops with black and it looks SICK ! I'll keep you posted on that car. He's powder coating all the trim black too, so it's going to look retarded with the black roof, black outline and black trim.

Great work guys. Wasn't there suppesed to be a like a small jump seat back there or is that one just for storage on that paticular Nomad? My mom had a 75 Ford Wagon and it had a small jump seat facing the rear of the car that we used to love as kids.

On some models there was a 9 passenger, third rear seat but this car didn't come with that seat. It just has a super big storage space in the back where the foot well would have been.

Looks good man, when its all done I may have to make another shop visit. Maybe bring my 38 so you can pinstripe it.

Can I ask what size tires you are running? My general manager runs 275-30-20 and 245-35-20 on his 64 without mods. Im not sure If Im going to run wide whites or larger wheels on my 61 project.

The rears are 275/35-20's, but I'd like to go with a little bigger tire on the back eventually. I can't remember exactly what the fronts are but I want to say they're 245/35 or 40's. I actually ended up using a different rear end too. It's a '78 Trans Am 3.23 geared posi rear end that's 2-2 1/2" wider than the stock rear end. The rear wheels have 5 1/2" of back spacing and are PERFECT for that rear end in that car. It's like they were made for this car with this rear end !!

Thanks guys ! I can't wait to do the flake !! I put the 283/Glide on Craigslist and sold it to the first person that came and looked at it. It was a running/driving engine trans and I sold it for $500.

Yeah, it was the original engine/trans, and it ran and drove, so that was enough for the guy that bought it ! I actually had 2 other people that were wanting it but the first guy got to the shop first, listened to it run, drove it around the pasture at the shop, and went to lunch while we pulled it out.

Oh, and the engine in the car is a 6.0 and unfortunately was more than $500.

I paid $1250 for the 6.0. I can't wait for this car to be driving too !! We've really been waiting on parts more than anything, which is mostly my fault.

Example, I ordered drop spindles, 12" drilled/slotted disc brakes and Wilwood calipers on June 21st. CPP didn't fucking let me know that the calipers were on back order when I bought the shit. Hadn't seen my parts or heard from CPP, so I called them and they said, "oh, we won't get those calipers until Aug. 6th." and I FUCKING LOST IT on the dude. Then this motherfucker says, "well, I mean, we've got the black ones in stock, but we're waiting on the red ones to come in." I FUCKING LOST IT AGAIN !! You mean to tell me you motherfuckers have had these same calipers but in black the whole time and you didn't offer those to me ?!?!?! The guy says, "oh, well we sent you an email through ebay on the 16th asking if you wanted to swap them for the black ones." I told the dude, "Do you REALLY think that if I had gotten that email, that I would be calling and blowing you up right now ?!?!". Then they wouldn't even give me any kind of expedited shipping for my shit. Assholes.

Probably middle/end of next week. My spindles/brakes are SUPPOSED to be here Thursday, so we'll see about that.

I'll have the shock mount tabs and upper bag cup tabs made tomorrow so we'll be able to get those all mocked up and tacked, then I'll take the two link bars and bag cups back to my dad's shop and finish TIG welding the tabs and make a mount to bolt the panhard bar to the right side two link bar.
