also, whats the deal with those lower link bars you used to replace the springs? what did you connect them to on the chassis?
I'm sorry to disappoint you with my choice of thread titles.
We built the two link bars to replace the lower control arms and made them much longer due to the bars being solid mounted to the rear end and the air bags. I guess I forgot to post a picture of the front mounts that bolt the two link bars to the frame. I'll post those shortly.
Are you going to clear the patina on the roof and the rest of the car?
No, I've got plans for something else on the roof, and I'm currently looking for a nicer pair of front fenders to replace the rusty, bent up fenders that came on the car. I found THE PERFECT parts car but it can't be bought. The lady that owns it lives in Arizona and the car belonged to her mom so she won't get rid of it.
And something close to this for the roof. Probably a little darker, with more of a brown-ish hint to it to more closely match the ceramic coating.
This is my buddy's '55 that I recently laid the scallops out on and taped off. Then he shot a silver base, silver flake, and gold candy over. Sorry for the shitty cell phone pictures. I still have to go back and finish outlining the scallops with black 1 Shot.
