There is clearly, without argument, more potential for these two people traveling at 150mph+ to harm others than stunters slowing down the highway to 50mph to ride wheelies. Anyone who disagrees is simply fucking retarded.

Wrong. The only harm they cause is to each other if they decide to go sideways unless something absolutely unreal happens.

Stunters slow traffic down to 40. There's a bumper-to-bumper traffic jam behind them. Squid #1 loops and gets hit by squid #2 who endos into the highway as well. Car #1 sitting 30 feet off their ass hits the brakes and swerves, hits another car, still runs over Squid #1, the car behind him has no time to stop and plows Squid #2, then he gets rear-ended, causes a multi-car accident, etc. etc. etc.

That situation has actually happened, and similar situations have occured simply because of the climate created by the riders.

I'm upset that this thread has degraded. Would you like to continue debating this? If so, I'll move it into the Smack and we can continue.

I've been riding street bikes in DFW for almost 10 years. I very seldom see a group of stunters that don't take up the entire highway and cause huge traffic issues. Thats how its always been.

I'm not saying one is necessarily safer than the other. While I do think me riding a 65mph wheelie is less dangerous to you than blasting by you at 185 it's a dumb point as both are dangerous and put you at risk.

I've yet to see a stunter hinder anyone's day in the parking lot ;-)

Much more of an irritant than a danger. Most vids of stunt riding are lot vids. You might watch the street rides or pay attention to them, but there is no doubt, the scene is solidly in the lot. It's been there for the last 10 years. No risk, no reward, I'm old compared to the new crowd, I prefer 70mph simple BP stand-ups to no mph complex circle combos.

Again, it's not apples to apples to compare a huge annual street ride to two cars freeway racing and either argument is pretty dumb in my opinion. I'm surprised no one has been killed by a collision between a freeway racer and random passer by in DFW.
