  • CTS-V 1 - Ford pick-up truck 0

I can't believe the CTS-V hit that truck with enough angle and force to knock it on it's side. When I got my V, I didn't expect it to be able to flip a big pick-up truck, but I'm glad it can do so if the situation warrants it.

These pictures were taken by a buddy a while back with his camera phone. Accident happened in DFW.

I know someone who did the exact same thing with a new camaro when a pickup pulled out in front of them, I think it was a Tundra or Tacoma.

          Definitely. Both totaled = tie.

I'm willing to bet that when the ford was righted, it could start and move under it's own power. Wouldn't say the same for the CTS...
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

With the higher center of mass for the Ford, being broadsided, and the CTSV acting as a speeding wedge it isn't all that surprising to me.

Shit, I've witnessed an early 90's Toyota Corolla t-bone a newer model explorer and caused the Explorer to roll over. Car was doing about 35mph after sliding from locking up the brakes when it hit.
