    The gearing is a huge problem, the LSC had the 3.27 traction lok, the base had a 3.08 one legger. Exhaust is the other big problem. The catalytic converter is part of the manifold on the drivers side and the non LSC is a Y pipe setup. I know a guy that did exhaust and 4.10's and went 13.8 in the 1/4.

    As for the ones that are saying it's slow stock, something may have been wrong with the IMRC's on the ones you drove, because all of the ones I have owned have had plenty of torque out of the hole.
    Well, speed is entirely a relative thing. I flogged on a brand new 2013 Boss 302 and thought it was pretty slow. But I do remember the VIII I drove was just laughably terrible.

        You have to go by the standard at the time. Stock it ran the 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 14.9@97. Wasn't too bad for a luxury barge.

          The 93 model year had a solid one piece driveshaft and a more aggressive tune than the other years.
