FYI I didn't break the leg on the water. The worst injury I ever got, other than bruising, was when I the water hard enough, and in a manner that caused my leges to wrap all the way behind me, and the board sliced my back.

I bit it pretty hard one afternoon, the board caught edge and slammed me face first into the water. I didn't let go of the rope immediately, for whatever reason, and I would have swore it tore my stomach area wide open. I floated behind the boat for a good 20 minutes doubled over in pain before I could pull myself in. I couldn't sit up for over a week. I didn't start wakeboarding until my mid 20's, and had already learned not to push the envelope too far passed my limits by then.
