If you ever want the MOS with the fastest promotion rates and the lowest promotion scores, Infantry. Most of us blew the ASVAB away but it's cake to make rank

Not trying to inflate anyone's head here, but some of the most intelligent and most motivated soldiers I knew were light infantry. To the point that they could manage lesser infantry troops and make them highly effective.

Understand, this does NOT apply to most combat arms MOS jobs though.

At the same time, some of the dumbest troops I knew were signal, which is supposed to be just the opposite.
