I love the people defending the bp, does asking people if they are a citizen really work? If you weren't would you say no? That is retarded. The guys at the front line sucked because they are too busy violating peoples rights because that is what the government wants.ازدهار رأسه برعشيت

My only problem with this is that it is not happening at the border (in this video), rather many miles inside of it.
I would love to see how many illegals/drugs they catch versus how many cars they stop at these checkpoints."A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

I DO NOT have a problem with scrutiny re-entering the US. However, those checkpoints...
1. Seemed worthless. So, just say "I am a citizen" and you're on your merry way? Seems pointless.
2. Should not be there for that purpose.
3. Are probably about as effective as the TSA at the airports.
Again, on re-entry into the country I get it. You better have a passport (which we know can be faked anyway) or whatever to get back in. Once you're cleared through there, that should be it. I've gotten grilled a little in other countries as a foreigner and I understand why they did it. A as a foreigner it would be annoying to be hassled 2-3 more times after the border, as a citizen it would down right piss me off.
Besides, there is one thing to control the road - but seems like a waste of man power when there is the whole rest of that 1 border to worry about.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I like that he pushes the envelope and risks taking on the possible litigation coming his way. On the surface he may seem like an asshole waisting everyones time, but I feel its just another way to police the police. If these check points start to become the norm, eventually the "NINE " sitting on the Supreme Court will see it that way too, then we're even more fucked. - on a side note, I think a couple semesters of Constitutional Law in high school could really be beneficial for America's future - instead of maybe learning to bake Brownies.

I concur. If it was on the border for re-entry, that's one thing in my book and I'll hate it if other disagree. However, just bopping around town he was not out of line in my opinion and I think those agents knew it.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Immigration scrutiny should be at the border, period.
After that point, cops should only be asking someone about their citizenship status when they are detained for commission of a crime. Stopping thousands of law-abiding citizens is a complete waste of time.
And obvious fact being obvious, they're not looking for non-citizens. They're looking for any excuse to put their eyeballs on your shit just as any good police-state would do.Last edited by 46Tbird; 07-11-2012, 07:45 AM.When the government pays, the government controls.

Twice they have asked if they could look in the back of my company van, dog took a sniff, and I was on my way. They asked me, I politely agreed, and was on my way in seconds. So since your such an expert on what is unfair for us all tell me what your grand solution would be?
And I don't think the government is out to get me, I don't wear a tinfoil hat, I just can see the inefficiency in their method. One thing I do believe is its purposeful because we have idiots in positions that shouldn't be there. Our elections are based on garbage. Our system is flawed and bloated, it needs to be fixed. I would love to sit down and go over the merits with someone and try and come up with a solution, and for some reason I feel that if 20 of us got together, we would have done more work towards trying to solve the issue than the people in charge.
