Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

I generally don't have an issue with "globalization" but when you take more than one bail out and then start moving a sizable chunk of their business into a communist country it kinda rubs me the wrong way. :/
Well china can keep their low income labor force. We should focus on our service and tech industries rather than worry about making t shirts, and other consumer crap. We don't help our nation by bringing in minimum wage jobs.
Maybe we should also look at not paying unemployment benefits that are more than people making minimum wage. That's ridiculous that someone with a job makes more than someone without just because they "had" a better paying job and mor material things to pay for monthly.

Your emplyer pays for the unemployment, that's why it can be greater than minimum wage. Even still, I think max benefits is only $415 a week. Maybe people should strive to better themselves instead of trying to bring others down to their levels so that it's 'fair'.
I didn't watch the video but keep in mind that GM sells a lot of cars in China and Australia, when you start to add in placed like South America then the 70% number starts to make sense. When you consider the cost of union labor, of course they are going to build the cars in other countries, the people there don't insist on $25 an hour plus benefits to do a job that a monkey could do.

What's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?

Voting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.
