I know there were alot of people bitching about AMP being built, is that the reason for the noise limit?

I'd love to bring one of our cars there but the noise limit thing is an issue. No way the camaro could go there but the mustang might be ok now that it has mufflers.
I'd love to go to their next event coming up but that is a long haul. It's 10 hours to birmingham from here...not sure about atlanta.
Nice flowing track, love the elevation changes and baby butt smooth. bet it had tons of grip!
Jonathan in his Factory 5 car had problems because of his side exhaust. They had to baffle it, but still went over a couple of times.
So show up with dumps and muffs....and you should be ok. The most you can have is 98db at 50ft from the track. I was hitting 97.
Track was smooooooth....and had tons of grip. Well worth the trip.

$150 for 4, 25min sessions(full day). One of the best values for some seat time.
Be sure your brakes are up to the task though.Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? Click here http://dfwmustangs.net/forums/payments.php

I wish I could afford to get a track specific car setup- that looks like a ton of fun!!

Another thing that I didnt like about it was it was not very technical....with allot of straights. Again.....this is my opinion.
Could be that I have been to so many tracks, that I am comparing to those."Racing is life.....everything else is just waiting" - Steve McQueen

Just that the surface is very, very bumpy.....allot of the bumps are in the braking zones, and it always seems to be coming apart. I had not been out there for 2 years based on that, and went out and helped Five Star Ford with their first event out there a few weeks ago, and did tech and provided trackside support. I was disappointed to see that the track had not improved much. I know that they had troubles with the paving contractor in the beginning.....looks like nothing was improved. Feel bad for the track, as it looks like they would have to tear most of it up and start over.

ECR has that bad section in a couple of the braking zones (turn 7-8 maybe?) and for me it's kind of big with no high speed turns. I still think it's a good time and fine to sort out a car with, but I thought TWS was much more fun to race at.

ECR's problem is a couple things. They had an event on the base course of asphalt before they put the top coat on it which crumbled it. They also did a terrible job getting water OVER the paving and it flows beneath it between the base course of asphalt and the rock later below it. It's a "living" surface.
In a softly sprung car the track isn't that bad. In a race car, it makes your back hurt!
