nope I had too much C16 in it and was messing with the tune, took some time to just get 93 in it. was just some operator error

I think a lighter car takes less traction to accelerate because it isn't pushing as much weight. Sort of like sliding a fridge across a floor, you may need better shoes to get grip vs trying to slide an empty box.

Miata owner also has NT-01s which are like fly paper.

I would think that you would need more grip with a lighter car. Think of driving on ice in a empty semi compared to a semi with a load.

I had a 250whp 510 that weighed under 2k lbs, you couldn't get it to spin the tires unless you started doing donuts and then it was "sketchy".

Yes, they make hardtops. not my favorite body style of miata but with a hard top and a nice drop with some wheels with dish it doesnt look to bad! Its a monster for sure

Miata is 2980lb with driver, car had made 620 on dyno at 12-14psi. Tune was finished on the street and is around 16-17psi (guessing at the 700 mark)

Just because I can im going to quote what BlackPony said previously about this car. I said it wouldnt make 630 rwhp on 7 lbs and I was right.

Just to clear a few things up:

-The car made 630 ish on wg which is 7 lbs.
-Yes it was ''auto-x'' tires but still cut a 2.1 60 ft time.
-Last I heard he ran a mid 11 at 138 mph...
-His clutch won't hold any more power, he called and said it slips on the street.

I was at HighPerformance world when he picked up a set of MT drag radials for the car. Are you calling that a "auto x tire" ?
In two of his videos it says 9lbs and one said 8lbs. There is no way in hell that car makes an honest 630 rwhp on 7 lbs. I would bet the farm that it makes 630 on 12 lbs.

The specific gravity of C16 is within 5% of that for 93 octane pump gas.
I don't understand how running a race gas with similar physical properties but a higher octane can create an "issue".
