I am leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to DC to fix a helicopter. I travel all the time but have not been anywhere good like where you are. I have seen a lot of the U.S. I would not have normally have had the chance to see though. I always make it a point to go see something and eat something that I do not have access to here. Last time I was in DC I went through the national mall, the vietnam wall memorial was on my bucket list and I got to see it. This time we are going to hit a couple of the Smithsonian museums.Comment

Being able to go places that you would never get to see otherwise and the money are the only good things about being on the travel team. I have seen more of the middle east than I will ever care to remember so it's nice that I got picked for this trip. I leave here, am home for one day then off to Barstow, CA for 3 weeks. I might get a week home after that trip and then it's on to Ft Bliss for a year.Comment

One reason I don't like to travel for work is because HP never sends me to any place worth seeing. I guess the best place they've sent me is Washington, DC but I used to live there so no big deal.
Lately they send me to Overland Park, KS a lot. I'm sick of that place. It doesn't suck but it's nothing to write home about either.
I want some place good to travel to. Europe or back to Japan. Unfortunately our team now has members in those areas so I'll only get good travel if I switch jobs. The only possibility is if they have me jump into get a bad project back on track (which I'm pretty good at)Comment

I am generally a very experimental person when it comes to trying new foods. However, that trip you are referring to in India, I got sick and didn't want to "experiment" my way into double purging for a week. I already had to stay a day in the hotel one night. When you are traveling and the company (or anyone for that matter) drops that much coin, I have an obligation to fill, whether im sick or not.
