K&N drop in filter on 302 and Airaid cold air intake on V. No tune or anything else on either car.

Honestly, I was really surprised with how strong my buddy's 302 ran. He's 5.0L NA with 444hp running against a 6.2L supercharged with 556hp and probably another 20hp with the CAI. The CAI picks up some good power on the V. So, for the 120+hp difference the Boss really held it's own up into triple digits.

Plus, the Boss sounds completely bada**. He has the discs or whatever dropped out of the side exhaust.

Pretty impressive Boss. Isn't the Caddy around $60k-$65k? Very good race until the road turns. Then I would figure the Caddy would get a look at some tail lights.

The Boss fared well, considering. But still...

It's just a fun race, you guys are overanalyzing it to justify the mustang getting beat. The ctsv is in a league of its own. It's a 4 door family car with great power and luxury. No comparison class wise. Just comparing a drag race.

It's just nice to know the BOSS isn't overhyped and runs like it should. To be honest, I was a little worried when a few guys were trapping 108-113, but I think that was either driver or them not fully turning traction control off (hold for 6 seconds). Based on my experience, the BOSS is a solid 115-116 mph car with the discs removed/red key. The CTS-V has to be 118-120 mph with the CAI. It pulls really hard up top.

I have 700 miles on the car, so I didn't push it. If the races were closer, I would have tried the driver mod/power shifting, but he was slowly pulling me at all times so it seemed pointless. Up to 100 or so, there isn't a huge difference. After 100, its a slow steady pull...
                Slow C6..

                Few bolt-ons...

I don't agree... the boss would jump out more, the lower the speed. The dynamics were the exact opposite. The lower the speed, the further I would jump out before being reeled back in.
