I don't agree... the boss would jump out more, the lower the speed. The dynamics were the exact opposite. The lower the speed, the further I would jump out before being reeled back in.

Agree. The gearing is really tight on the Boss in the first few gears so the margin is not much at lower speeds. From a dig, I guess it would come down to launch. The Boss can run a 4.0 0-60 which is roughly what the V does. The automatic is probably more consistent, but xstang is a pretty experienced drag racer, so he would be pretty quick off the line most of the time.

I think it would be alot closer without the extra 20-25 Hp from the CAI. I still think the CTS-V wins, but it would definately be closer.

If I can get a Ford calibrated CAI, I will buy one and we cam run again.

Yeah, below is the link. You spun pretty hard into 2nd, so the video really wasn't worth posting, but here it is anyway per your request.

I agree the gap would be a fair bit tighter without my CAI with the edge still to the V slightly. Definitely good times. When you get your C6 back from the tuner, we can get some vids against my C6 and the tables will definitely turn back in your favor.

That's the greatness of the CTS-V with an A6...

It is definately better than a manual. When I first got my C6, I had ten consecutive 11 second quarter mile times with just a CAI on stock runflats. The A6 shifts way faster than ANY human can.

No worries about "street racing" - we were up at the crack of dawn. From what I can remember, there wasn't a car in sight in any of these runs.

Decent runs, especially for a stock Boss. Can I stand in for the Boss on the next runs? I'd like to see where mine stands with the mods I have now.

yup...im 1:1 vs him..
I guess being a photo finish.. its fine he was built to the hilt and maxed out.. i was stock motor and the biggest pully physically possible on the car the fact that i was door to door to him was pretty good im sure in the next few months him and i will run built motor 2 built motor..
