He was an idiot. Should have called the cops. CHL give you a right to carry a concealed gun, It does not however give you the right to use one. Either way the justice system is set up to punish the innocent as well as the guilty.
You have the right to shoot someone stealing a $2000.00 lawnmower. But you will spend 10 times that defending your right to do so after the fact.

It is a rather shitty feeling. In the instances I had I was honest, courteous, and GTFO as soon as the situation would allow. I've pulled a few times as well and that is just as stressful.
