Foam system malfunction

The other night this happened at work. There were only two injuries so not too bad. There was no fire. The system just had a brain fart and decided to fill the hangar. Preliminary estimates say the damage to the two planes in for a heavy check in that hangar is around $400,000.

Back home our foam equipped hangar, with doors closed, would fill to the top in under 20 minutes if left alone.

both Hgr 5 and 6 in Tulsa have had the deluge system go off. Spent the better part of 4 hours draining my tool box and wiping down tools one night.

Pressurized chemical system if i recall, doesnt have a power system to generate. Once it lets loose you just have to let it run itself out.

The guys that installed it said it would fill the hangar in less than a minute with doors closed.

We have foam cannons at the corners of the towers. We had one go off two winters ago. luckily it was pointed at the ground and didn't really cause any damage to the bird that was siting there.
