So, stock truck versus aftermarket that runs 16k more?

If you split the difference and spent say 10k on the Raptor you'd not even have the Dodge near. Hell, put them side by side in a Baja race. That's what the Raptor was designed for

First thing that pops in my mind is the frame issue the Raptor has and Ford not fixing the issue, due to abuse.

Looks like the raptor bottoms out more than the ram did on that one part before they climbed that lil hill.

Edit: I only watched it with no sound so i have no idea what they were talking about. lol.

They did say that if you bought a used Ram and then got the kit put on, that they would be about the same price. Also the extra clearance of the Ram looked pretty helpfull over a lot of that track. Doesn't look like you could go wrong with either one though imo, just a matter of which one you personally prefer.

As mentioned before, I lost all respect in the Raptor after reading/seeing the frame issue. I prefer to be a Ford fan boy, but when they build something that does not withstand what they advertise - it's pointless.

I understand things will break, but frame bending is unacceptable.

The frame bending stuff was from outright abuse, such as diving into a culvert at 70mph. Once you run out of suspension (and there is a LOT on a Raptor), the only thing left to give is the frame. I agree, Ford should have done enough testing to see the problem, and there should have been an upgraded frame to go with the package. But at the end of the day, you have idiots out there that are abusing the living hell out of their ~6500lb trucks and expect it to be indestructible. It's not.

This was one of the few times I really sided with the manufacturer on something. They were abusing the SHIT out of those trucks that had issues. Everything has a limit. Reading some of the threads on those forums, the owners sounded like absolute morons.

Wasn't it the Raptor Run that was bending these frames? They came down HARD on those jumps.
