They used so much sound deadener in the car they had to pipe engine noise into it so you can hear the engine. No bullshit.

BTW the first pass the car went into limp mode after the burnout and Clint Davis was driving my car the second pass. Those weren't my only passes of the night. One pass went 12.3 at 118 with a 2.1 60 ft and Clint went 11.8 at 119 mph with a 1.9 60ft. Still playing with it about where to launch from on those street tires but I will be switching to slicks very soon.
        lol

I went 7.0 with the procharger The guy that has it now runs 6.8-7's
I ran 7.9 with just bolt ons

What the hell!!! This damn thing Is so quiet I've stalled it out a couple times backing out the driveway. I'm not used to quiet. For several years I've ran dumps without cats. I'll put an axle back exhaust on it by December.

You can unplug the tube to pipe in some more noise.

Thanks ima try that. Also Why do some of these cars have a Strut tower Brace. And some of them don't?

The cars with 18" wheels don't have it. I got gipped too.

That sounded a lot like my old 545 in the cabin. I wonder if they piped in the intake noise in 2006, because I know they do now. Interesting.

The GT500 axle back sound great, but are high as hell.

I've heard that you can remove the sound deadened/silencer in the air filter housing and the engine noise becomes overwhelming in the cabin.

                    • I like that the car is quite inside and loud outside. I don't like listening to the exhaust drone on long trips.

Like talisman said they only come with cars that have 19" wheels. They started that in 2010. I read somewhere Ford added the strut tower brace for better handling with the bigger wheels.

They started putting in the sound tubes in 2010 as well.

I meant I wonder if BMW did in 2005.

Lol gotcha. Yeah I guess there wasn't a 545 Mustang.

Huh? They are by far the cheapest muffler option for a new Mustang, lol. You can find them new for around $200/pr and used for half that.

                              • Perhaps the dual tipped '13-'14 versions are more expensive. I have the previous version since I have a '12, and like Danny said, they're one of the cheapest.
