I grew up going to petecostal churches and I can tell you first hand, there are some real fucked up people that go to these churches. I have not been in over 20 years now and no plans on going back. My last boss's aunt and uncle were driving away from a tent revival for Orel Roberts after having given their entire savings to that scumbag, and were killed in a car wreck. The family asked the ministry to hold off cashing the check until the life insurance settlement, and Orel Roberts wouldn't do it. They weren't even asking for money back, just for them to wait a while. While we're at it, TD Jakes is a fucking scumbag, too.

But ministries do need money. I am all for that. Those who work full time in the ministry need to eat and live. What makes me sick is the exploitation and the bad reputation it gives those who use the money for the ministry and not for their own excessive personal needs.
